Step 2: Get Your Dental Implants

We put an emphasis on your comfort with every visit—and not just in the treatment rooms. When you walk in the door you’ll be greeted by name by a welcoming member of our staff. Once in the treatment room you’ll receive sedation so that you can stay calm and comfortable throughout your treatment. We have several team members who are certified to administer IV sedation, which enables you to effectively sleep through procedures without pain and have no memory of them afterward. In addition, we can provide nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and local sedation for your comfort.

Once you’re sedated our team will complete any preliminary procedures you may need to prepare you for implant placement. We group these together whenever possible to avoid multiple visits. We’ll then surgically insert the required number of implants—durable, screw-like posts—into your jawbone to act as roots for your new teeth. We’ll ultimately attach your new restorations or crowns—the above-the-gums portion of your teeth—to them. Those will be available on your next visit. In the meantime, we’ll put in temporary crowns so that you can immediately begin to enjoy the confidence and other benefits of a full set of teeth.

Step 3: Enjoy Your Finished Smile

Your implants will steadily fuse to your jawbone over the months following placement, eventually becoming a permanent part of your jaw. After your healing is complete, we’ll have you return to our office to receive your final restorations. Some practices refer you out to others for restorations, but we both place and restore implants right here.
